Marybeth

Marybeth has enjoyed a twenty-five-year teaching career focused on English Language Arts, ESL and Executive Functioning. She has a passion for mentoring students in academic planning, developing a growth mindset, and fostering health and wellness. She has expertise in personal essay development, holistic application review, and guiding students as they discover and define their own unique goals and aspirations. Marybeth has also served as a Learning Specialist for middle and high school students and offers an empathic and responsive approach to students with diverse learning styles.   

In addition, Marybeth served as a member of the admission team for the University of California Santa Cruz for eight years and understands the unique qualities colleges and universities seek in forming an incoming class. She has also worked closely with community college students on the college transfer process. Marybeth has assisted students in admissions to several colleges and Universities including The University of California, The University of San Francisco, and the University of Minnesota.

In her free time Marybeth can be found hiking and traveling with her two rescue dogs, and growing food in her backyard garden.
